CPT
Description:
The primary function of the CPT is to determine which course placements are appropriate for college students and whether developmental studies are needed. The test helps provide college faculty with information about your level of skill and accomplishment in reading, writing, English and mathematics (College Level Math or Elementary Algebra). Your college may use the scores you receive and other information you provide to help determine the English, Mathematics, and Reading courses most appropriate for you at this time. You must be a USF student in order to take the CPT test in Testing Services.
Format and Delivery:
The CPT is a computerized test utilizing the ACCUPLACER system with the sequence of test questions varying based on the needs of the individual student in cooperation with his or her advisor.
