Description:

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level test of analytical ability that requires the solution of problems stated as analogies. The test measures your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences.

Format and Delivery:

The MAT consists of 120 partial analogies that you have 60 minutes to complete. Upon completion of the computer-based MAT, you will receive a Preliminary Score Report. The scores on this report are still pending verification by Pearson and therefore is not official and cannot be presented as a substitute for an Official Transcript. Your official Score Report will be mailed to you 10-15 business days from the date Pearson receives your test.

Registration Process:

To schedule an exam, submit your payment online at www.usf.edu/testing/payment.asp. Wait a day for your payment to process, then call Testing Services to schedule your test date and time. Please note that rescheduling without cost will only be done for cases of medical emergencies and will require documentation.

Test and Fees:

$90- includes one personal Score Report and three Official Transcripts sent to recipients specified when you take the exam. Submit your payment at www.usf.edu/testing/payment.asp

Retest Policies:

All testing fees must be paid for each attempt of the MAT. A Retest Admission Ticket is not required for the computer-based MAT.

Testing Schedule:

Testing Services currently offers the MAT Monday through Friday with start times beginning at 8:00am and ending at 3:00pm. We also offer the exam some Saturdays from 8:00am-11:00am. Contact Testing Services after payment to schedule a day and time to take the test.

Seating for this exam is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. During periods of increased demand, your first-choice of testing date and time may not be available. Examinees should register as early as possible to avoid potential scheduling conflicts. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED. You must schedule an appointment at least one business day ahead of time. We are unable to accommodate same-day test registration.
